Dr Kenneth Buxey

Dr Kenneth Buxey a General Surgeon with an interest in COlorectal Surgery working at Linacre Private Hospital.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), a member of the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), a member of General Surgery Australia and a ConjointCommittee accredited colonoscopist and endoscopist (GESA accredited). Dr Buxey is an Associate Lecturer at the University of NSW School of Medicine and previously has held academic clinical appointments at The University of Tasmania, University of Melbourne and Monash Universities respectively.

Dr Buxey obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours and completed General Surgery training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He was accepted to the CSSANZ program and underwent further subspecialty Colorectal Surgery training in Sydney and Melbourne and additionally visited the USA as the ASCRS International Travelling Fellow.

Dr Buxey is married to Alyson, a general practitioner and they have four young sons to keep him busy outside of work. He is happy to take calls from GPs to discuss all general surgical conditions.
