Mr David J Morgan is a fully qualified Plastic Surgeon, and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He completed his training in 2003. He subsequently undertook further training in Canada, including a Clinical Fellowship in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery in Vancouver, through the University of British Columbia, to acquire further skills in breast reconstruction and cosmetic breast surgery.
This followed a Fellowship in Craniofacial Trauma and Reconstruction at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, under the auspices of the University of Toronto, where he developed advanced skills in the management of significant facial trauma and its sequelae.
He is currently the Head of the Faciomaxillary Surgery Unit at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and is involved in all aspects of the management of acute facial trauma, the correction of secondary facial deformities, and the ongoing management of congenital craniofacial deformities.
Mr Morgan’s private practice focuses on the management of skin cancer and melanoma, minor hand surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, and cosmetic facial surgery, with aparticular interest in rhinoplasty. He has previously been the Victorian Regional Director of Training for five years, and has recently been appointed as the National Chairman of the Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the body that overseas the training of future Plastic Surgeons across Australia.
He is also a Council Member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and on the Board of Surgical Education and Training of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). He is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), the Australian and New Zealand Society of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (ANZCMFS), and is an International Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
