Rob Capstick is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, who started working in the Bayside area in March 2023. Coming from the Hunter Valley in rural NSW, Rob moved to Victoria for medical school. He graduated from Monash University with honours in 2012, with an extra year of research in surgery spent at Oxford University in the UK.
Rob trained in Melbourne in all aspects of plastic surgery including the management of skin cancer, hand surgery, microsurgery, burn management, and breast reconstruction. He received awards from the University of Melbourne for excellence in surgical anatomy, as well as the highest grade for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons clinical examination.
In Melbourne Rob has public appointments at Monash Health, Western Health and Northern Health, and he visits Geelong and Warrnambool monthly.
Outside of medicine Rob enjoys travel, skiing and scuba diving as well as gardening, food and wine.
